A project manager for twenty years, mostly in the public sector. I live in Bankeryd, just outside Jönköping. I've run Advanto since 2017.
I trained as a computer engineer and a business economist in the early 2000s, and started out in requirements analysis, system management and development. What I like best is understanding an organisation, finding answers to real problems and making something complicated easy to grasp.
A couple of years in, I moved into project management, and I've been hooked ever since. For over twenty years I've worked in IT project management on both the supplier side and the client side, and also as a service manager and a release manager.
Mostly in the public sector, and in recent years above all in healthcare IT. I like it there for a simple reason: the projects matter to a lot of people. When a medical records system just works on a Tuesday in November, nobody notices — and that's the whole point.
Since 2017 I've run Advanto Sverige AB. It's just me, and that's a deliberate choice. I want to be close to the projects, not managing other consultants.
And AI? For the first time in over twenty years, the craft itself is changing. The way we build, test and run IT is shifting — and that makes me genuinely curious.
So I spend a lot of time exploring how AI can be used in practice — from building websites and apps to AI agents that support companies and government agencies. Not because AI is the answer to everything, but because I want to give advice grounded in my own experience.
Away from work, life is about family, runs around Bankeryd — and, these days, the odd evening at the keyboard too.
